Elevated ones use the same theory for ur normal ones, just that you need some support at the bottom. Curve section of track can try cardboard or back of Foolscap paper ONLY for curve section that is not as long as light rail.

likely buy sentosa admission ticket with cash, go turnstile and check by staff to go to platform at vivocity, which is the same as visitor arrival centre. once in, u can go anywhere u like.

just when will they open sentosa express. i think sentosa express was ready before vivocity right since it been under tests for quite some time? and vivo is now open. no one has opening day photos of the connection to the platform at vivo?

i certainly hope it accepts ezlink. we have too many types of magnetic stripe and contactless and chip cards already.

i may consider gg down tml to see see look look again. the area was previously off-limits from shopping centre area, and being at the far end of the hypermarket.

It'll open around end of the year. VivoCity platform is still undrgoing renovations I think. I went there yesterday only orange-colour on top of the shutters and not much else. The ticket office (I think, because of its shape) still not ready. Got the wooden boards surrounding it. My guess i that it'll open on 1 Dec together with the Official opening of VivoCity.

same observations... cos theres only much we can see.

if u tried gg from lobby M at level 1 and peep up to the station from the tracks, the light inside are actually on and it has a glass-door platform, similar to changi airport in style but not design.

Platform screen doors or platform screen gates?

I know the stations on Sentosa have platform screen gates (half height gates).

Anyways the stations seem to have longer platforms than trains. Does that mean trains might get longer in the future?

yes, it's PSDs at vivocity. gates elsewhere.

i dun think trains will get any longer since there weren't that many gates installed. Sad

So far I've noticed, only Singapore stations have length of the train itself, probably due to lack of space. In other countries, platforms are at least twice the length fo trains. So Sentosa Express's 2x lenght of train platforms are a norm. Also because Sentosa MAY build queues for the monorail, like the old one.

oh yes. PSDs are required at vivocity cos its air-conditioned platform.
