Nicoll Highway Laughing

NickL_C151 SG

That one is contractor’s fault la… Never go according to plan… Singapore soil is stable enough… Trees have been planted at the site long long even before the project was planned. Take Marina Bay for example: So many trees for what? Disneyland… IR… What not…

wonderamazement SG

The area around Shenton way has natural forming granite rocks beneath the surface…deep down all the way.

We will buy Batam and build MRTs there Laughing ...

FERRARIman SG

Yeah.. true.. not according to plan.. but.. engineers do make mistake..

but hopefully not la.. but wat ifs.... over-excessive lines underground.. isn't it be too complicated... then this singapore road ah.. forever la.. shift here shift there.. every where mrt line construction... when all this going to end??? stop digging! hahaha... everywhere mrt underground construction...haiz... sian..

yes true so in future our commuters are easy to lead frm area A to B.. but wat i want to underline here.. pls.. this country is small... wat for to extend stations or add lines.. haiz.. cannot take bus meh? now ok already wat.. still want to lead here lead there.. link below.. link ontop.. no fun leh.. so many station to stop.. sian eh... transfer here transfer there... troublesome.. ok true short time journey if more leadings and linkings.. but.. long journey also good wat... so next time go out with gurlfrens journey long long good mah.. can hanky panky more.. lol! correct or not?? Mr. Green

shinkansen SG

Yes I agree with you, engineers do make mistake but the "Nicoll Highway accident was not a mistake it is just that they never aware that the soil has already got movement and the supporting structure begin to bent.

LetterboxMind SG

I hope they dig more tunnels and more highways for my Pagani Zonda.

AI YOH YOH!!

NickL_C151 SG

Yep. By 1cm. The sinking stopped already but trains slow down now to prevent aggravating the soil.

This reminds me of one movie "Day After Tomorrow" when the world weather suddenly change.Major flood then snow.
