We pay ridiculously high fares on forever overcrowded trains. There are so few seats. and the seats are cramp, narrow, and hard, not forgetting the seats are sideways, not facing the front. So we gota make the most of our fares.

At busy stations, i sometimes also rush in to grab a seat.. nit funny to stand for 30 minutes

my longest was buona vista to tampines only. Very Happy
usually, i take train.. if off-peak, enter late and stand by the door facing direction of motion. if peak hr, bo bian lor. stand at door. if got lotsa time, i rather take the bus. bus confirm got seat. frm orchard, i take 65 at lucky plaza. sure got seat. Laughing

My longest was Eunos City Hall. Most of the times, i go to the front or rear carriages to try to get seat and if real unlucky then lean on the wall between carriages.

den time still early , we chat with the zabor from jurong east to changi airport there den to bugis ^^X

I board South Line from YCK, and not AMK, then have seats

still, from Ang Mo Kio, you usually alight within 20 minutes

erm.. tell us.. anybody here who usually stand when theres seats available? Or only seat at alternate seats? or seat at the 2 end seats facing peope backsides? or worse, stand at the door and be a wannabe security guard?

i stand even when there's seats available. like say, i alighting redhill and the crowd only clears off at tanjong pagar, i'll just stand. similarly, alighting at tampines, crowd clears at bedok. i'll stand.

if stand, i'll always stand at the door. can look at aunties rushing in only to be disappointed! Twisted Evil

let's say you're in a westbound train.. you take frm tampines and get a seat.. you're heading to outram park. at kallang, a pregnant lady boards the train. you give up ur seat and stand in front of her. and den she alights at bugis. do you sit down at ur place again??
