TIB529A SG It seems that now the governmwent spends more $$$ on security of trains than bus and taxis…
CAIX SG Yes, I’ve just heard the news. They say that there will be armed personnel making their rounds in the train. Now I cannot take pictures and record video in the MRT.
The_Bus_Guide SG I’d suggest we be more careful in taking photos in the MRT trains or stations; lest you want to attract the attention of the armed personnel for a suspected terrorist! Anyway, although I feel the government is being a tad too paranoid about all this but I guess you gotta do what you gotta do to to prevent unwanted happenings on our soil.
the Bear SG tomorrow's papers: Bus and Train Nutter shot to death. He was armed with a camera taking pictures of the train and when confronted, he made a dash for it and was gunned down in front of shocked on-lookers. so... stop obsessing over these things
medicheng SG haha as long as u use your camera phone to take should be ok wat… i also saw alot of tourist taking pics in the stations….
CAIX SG Yes, but I'm still a child. Maybe I can say that I'm doing a school project ? BTW I've taken alot of pics. and videos before the introduction of the " watch guard "
chunyong SG got install CCTV to take portrait of passengers......apparently this is how it goes once the fare meter is started off, the CCTV will take 15 images in bursts of an interval. the frontpassenger will have one and the rear side got 2... will rollout in 2006.... still in testing. images sent back via the same terminal 'zenged' on each cab...
SBS9889U SG Maybe we should request for a licence for 100% LEGAL photo taker and wear the licence with us everytime we take pictures If not, if people are not paranoid, they may just think that we are taking pictures for a magazine or a newspaper article.
