In the past, ST articles came out like our soldiers need to be more cunning and businessmen more greedy..but our parents and teachers tell us the opposite ..and this caused confusion among the younger generation..

So please do we need to be cunning and greedy to survive in modern singapore?

survival and existence is not truly living...

sure, amputate your humanity and conscience and you trade that in for numbers in your bank account.. i think it's a fricken lousy trade...

however, many have traded them in and are coasting along...

back to the same thing i've always written in your topics..

make your own decisions.. and live with the consequences..

btw.. you do not need their definition of "success" to be really successful.. in Singapore or anywhere in the world...

Our teacher is teaching us to have good values on the surface. When we go thruogh sec school, poly, we tend to find kind hearted people are mostly taken advantage of.

Thus, we need to pretend we are kind, do all the work, learn more, and dun teach, now that is kind and cunning+selfish
