Opening of New PIE Connection at Bedok North
Avenue 3
Motorists will be able to enjoy a direct and faster connection
between Bedok North avenue 3 and the PIE from Saturday
afternoon.
That's because the new vehicular interchange between the
Pan-Island Expressway and Bedok North Avenue 3 will be opened to
traffic from 4pm on Saturday.
This follows the completion of an upgrading project which costs
$20.5 million.
Works for the latest road interchange with the PIE began in June
2006 and involved the construction of four slip roads to connect
Bedok North Avenue 3 to the PIE.
It also involved works to widen Bedok North Avenue 3 from two
lanes to three lanes in both directions.
The new interchange will also serve as an alternative to the two
existing interchanges with the PIE at Bedok North and Simei.
