just asking the denizens of sgforums... which of you or your
family does this?
boil a crapload of water, put in containers to cool for
drinking?
because i find this very pointless... yet a lot of the people in
the office, both young and old do this mindlessly... and insist on
boiling water, letting it cool before drinking it..
worse, they think i'm mad for drinking tap water...
a lot of energy is wasted boiling the water just to let it cool
again.. why do people do this?
i know in the past, it is necessary because the water wasn't
safe, but in Singapore, the water is unreasonably clean and safe..
in fact, it's safe beyond the necessary safety standards
yet people keep boiling the water...
why?
p.s. the energy used to boil the water equates to gas and
electricity = greenhouse gases and money and all that...
