The market is so bad nowadays; definitely can get our fellow
citizens to take up these jobs; esp the old people. some are
penniless and would be grateful for being offered such jobs.
Besides, they can kill time while earning money, which's better
than sitting idle the whole day and risk becoming senile
faster.
I always believe employers in Singapore ought to change their
mindset being over-dependent on foreign workers, but the government
ought to make the first steps in some areas such as changing of
some policies, etc..
I hope to see more Singapore citizens working as cleaners,
dish-collectors, grass cutters, manual labourers, construction
workers, etc... Perhaps can begin by recruiting ex-convicts by
giving them another chance - Support the "Yellow Ribbon"
project.
