Shylock, an award-winning production from the UK, takes a look at
the tragic, funny and often unbelievable life of fiction's most
famous Jew. The solo performance by Gareth Armstrong conjures up a
whole cast of people from Portia to Pontius Pilate, Antonio to
Adolf Hitler in this dazzling, moving, yet hilarious exploration of
stereotypes through Shylock's only friend- and only other Jewish
man in Shakespeare- Tubal. Shylock has performed in four continents
to great acclaim.
This is a performance that deserves to be sold out. It is theatre
for thinking men and women, it is theatre of the imagination, of
liberating emotions and also of bold thinking - Kurier,
Vienna
Full of rollicking humour and delicious irony, Shakespeare fans
will kneel in homage and raise their arms to shout 'Hallelujah' -
