15 Nov 2005 (Tue), 7.30 PM
Esplanade Concert Hall
In a special concert programme featuring 2 of the greatest
quintets, the Tang Quartet collaborate with renowned cellist
Carter Enyeart to perform Schuberts heartbreakingly beautiful
string quintet and with acclaimed pianist, Thomas Hecht, for
Schostakovichs deeply expressive piano quintet. Come compare and
contrast the juxtaposing textures of a string quintet versus a
piano quintet to decide for yourself whether quintet music is
quintessential for you.
