Escape Theatre present(s)
'Modern Dance for Beginners'
R(A)18
by Sarah Phelps

Escape Theatre are proud to present the critically acclaimed adult
comedy Modern Dance for Beginners.
In the post Ally Macbeal world women are surer of their sexuality
than ever
but where does that leave men?
And is the grass really
that much greener? Is a life in continual search of orgasmic fun
really all its cut out to be? This is a play to challenge all the
newly formed pre-conceptions of adult sexuality
The play focuses on a series of encounters we meet Owen, a newly
wed groom consummating his marriage, but not with his wife. Julia,
the desperate housewife whose handyman wont perform the job hes
paid to do. Russell, who may be the master of the one-night stand,
but now all he wants to do is hold hands in a public relationship
and then theres Frances
Frances isnt looking for commitment. Not
now, not ever!
Directed by Life Theatre Award Winner for Best Director, Samantha
Scott-Blackhall, and starring Life Theatre Award Winners Beatrice
Chia and Mark Waite, all 8 characters are played by the same actors
and everything is done in full view of the audience, including
costume and set changes
This is a play that is both thought provoking, without being
preachy and is a definite must see for all those who have ever
been in love or just had lots of meaningless sex!
