hi TS,
the only reason why the kids have the latest, is because the
parents allow it.
hence, it is not because the kids are too much, but rather the
parents have lost control.
For me, if my kid ask me for laptop/handphone, I will get one
that fits the requirement. Getting the lastest/expensive is calling
for undue attention, and giving the kids the wrong sense of
financal planning.
While some parents may choose to indulge, but I do believe they
do so in the hope that these tools will benefit the children in
their academic pursuit.
but did U ask why does the children needs these tools? cause
most schools now, requires them to use a laptop. And most parents
are both working, hence a handphone to check on the kids'
safety.
So U can choose to look @ it from 20000ft or otherwise..
