Shevchenko must break Chelsea duck
tonight

Chelsea striker Andriy Shevchenko MUST score tomorrow night against
Wycombe Wanderers to save his Premiership career.
The Sun says their Carling Cup semi-final first leg at Wycombe is
arguably bigger for £30million misfit Shevchenko than it is for the
minnows from League Two.
Shevchenko has been a miserable failure since his summer arrival at
Stamford Bridge.
His five goals so far have cost £6m each - plus his £130,000 a week
wages - and his name was missing from the scoresheet again in the
6-1 FA Cup win over Macclesfield.
If he draws another blank at Wycombe he will be banished from the
team for Saturday's home Premiership game against Wigan, possibly
never to return.
However, Chelsea's stand-in skipper Frank Lampard believes
Shevchenko's quality will eventually come through.
Lamps said: "I do feel sympathy for him but it is no problem.
"Saturday was not a day where because he cost £30million and is a
world-class striker he had to score.
"He has to work hard and try to lead the line, which he did. It
doesn't always happen for you.
"It is the same for me. I scored three against Macclesfield and at
Aston Villa I tried to score the whole game and it didn't go in for
me."
Macclesfield centre-back and skipper David Morley reckoned Sheva
should be doing a lot more for his money.
But Lampard said: "I hope people don't make a big deal about the
fact he didn't score against Macclesfield because football is not
that simple.
"He doesn't seem to be affected by not scoring. He is working hard
in training and is a great professional.
"Of course he wants to score more goals, that is what he has done
his whole career. He is keeping his head down and grafting. If you
watch Saturday's game he didn't score but you could see he was
trying to.
"You could see the frustration, that is normal, but as long as he
keeps trying the goals will come.
"We can all try too hard - that is not really a big fault. That is
just showing what you want to do. Eventually it will turn for
him."
