Chelsea senior players urged
Mourinho to go for Richards

Chelsea's senior players are behind the club's push for Manchester
City defender Micah Richards.
The Sun says Richards made his full England debut against Holland
in Amsterdam last month and Blues boss Jose Mourinho canvassed the
opinion of John Terry, Frank Lampard, Ashley Cole and Joe Cole
about him on their return.
He received glowing reports and was told Richards is the real
deal.
While he may have waited until the summer to buy him, the injury to
John Terry and his team's defensive frailty has forced the
issue.
Former Chelsea favourite Pat Nevin reckons it is the ideal solution
to the club's defensive deficiencies which have seen them ship six
goals in their past three league matches.
Nevin said: "It makes perfect sense for Chelsea to sign Richards
now. He's got great ability and he's unique among the current crop
of young British players in that he is probably the only one who
could sign and play every game.
"It's a move which suits everyone right now given Chelsea's
problems, Richards' ambition and I imagine that City will probably
need the money to add to their squad."
