Michael Ballack accepts he can do better at Chelsea.
Booed by Blues fans during the 1-0 defeat of Newcastle this week,
Ballack said: "Of course I can play better.
"It's important to remember I have only been here for three months.
It's not easy for players from abroad to fit straight in.
"It's a question of getting used to the style, of fitting in with
the players, and that takes time. It's the same with any change of
job.
"And being dominant isn't necessarily just about scoring and making
goals. It's about how you fit into the team, because that is very
important too.
"Take Claude Makelele - he's a very strong player and not
necessarily the most spectacular, but his contribution to the side
has been immense.
"The team has many strong characters, who all want to play well and
be noticed. There are not just five or six top players in the side,
there are 14 or 15 world-class players.
"It's difficult for the coach to try and make everybody happy. We
just have to carry on, make it through and finish the
job."
