Chelsea plan £10M offer for Sevilla's Alves

Chelsea are ready to splash out £10 million on Sevilla fullback
Daniel Alves.
The Mirror says Liverpool thought they had tied up a deal to land
the 23-year-old in the summer, only to back away when the Spanish
side did not lower their £12m valuation. But while Chelsea will not
open the bidding at that level, their bottomless pockets will allow
Jose Mourinho to make the signing he considers necessary in the
transfer window.
Chelsea are still without a first-choice right-back, with Cameroon
ace Geremi, a converted midfielder, filling the role now after
Mourinho lost faith in Paulo Ferreira and Khalid Boulahrouz.
