Chelsea's summer signing from Espanyol, Sergio Tejera, sent an
early marker to Blues fans after a stunning strike for the youth
team in their victory over Southampton.
The Spanish teenager joined the Blues at the end of last season and
is rated one of the brightest young midfield talents in
Europe.
Chelsea coach Ruud Kaiser told the club's website: "It was
astonishing. He was 35 yards from goal, kept the ball with the
midfield player at his back, then flicked it up over his head and
the opponent's, turned round him, let it bounce and hit the ball
from 30 yards into the top corner. Unbelievable!
"It was so hard, so tough. The goalkeeper didn't see it. I hardly
saw it, it went so fast."
