CHAPCHAE
Chapchae is a traditional Korean dish served on New Years Day,
birthdays and other festivities. It consists of a mixture of
Chinese noodles, vegetables, mushrooms and meat fried together
(there is a vegetarian version as well). This dish doesnt have
specific ingredients, so the main ingredient used determines its
name eg. if leek or buchu
is the main ingredient used, the dish is correspondingly called
Buchu Chapchae. Yet
another healthy offering from Korea, chapchae is rich in vitamins and
calcium.
anybody knows the korean lang.? this really sounds like our
'chap chai' in hokkien?
