Agenda SG Saturday and Sunday were very bad days for me as I was rushing my Java assignment, I did not understand much of the logic and thus was unable to complete my methods. As witnessed by DMI and Ah Lua, I lamented on msn on how much I wished I was in a business course instead. On monday, a day before my assignment was due I was still lost but luckily I had friends who were good at Java and helped me with it. I was actually one of the top student last sem in Java, Just that I kind of lost memory during the long break and I did not pay as much attention as I did to Java last sem. Now, After handing in my assignment, I feel so happy that I completed it. Moreover, I feel that I am able to understand the logic at least 80% already. So getting good result should be no program already. Then, My friend told me about how his sister with the diploma similar to what I'm taking now is getting paid 4k/mnth while his cousin a IT degree holder is getting paid more than 10k/mnth in the US. Then my course manager told me that with my diploma, I can expect a starting salary of more than 2k when I graduate. Wow.
laurence82 SG sorry to burst ur bubbles, but there are many IT people out there scrambling out of the industry your friends may paint a beautiful picture but it only happen to a few chaps tough luck

AndrewPKYap SG ... you ah... I was doing some SQL database programming today... siong like hell... only stopped at 8 pm (not yet done... and you can have a "sudden surge of happiness" thinking about doing IT job for a living...... lucky I don't have to do this 9-5 everyday

Nato SG After your diploma go to India get your IT degree and at the same time go and get suntan. When you return, you may get the salary that they told you.
