Mandarin is used long time ago(800yrs a go) in China as official language of all imperial court. Ming dynasty start it(A true Han dynasty) The only barbarian languages from north is Mongolian(nearly wipe out) and Machurian(complete wiped out)... Have u heard from these 2 barbaric languages? Their tone are totally different from Mandarin... Mandarin wipe out these barbaria languages.
