The TATA Group has created an online quiz for all residents of
Singapore called TATA Crucible. I have been trying to promote it
for the past few years, to use it as a platform to encourage our
community to participate in lateral thinking and building a pool of
peers who are interested in acquiring more information and
knowledge about general stuff, which I think improves the way we
streamline our thoughts and thinking process.
Sadly I don't see many locals trying their hands at it.
Somehow it makes me feel that if it doesn't involve big $$ and
publicity /fame, then locals won't even attempt or consider
participating. And even if I do see that few, most get the majority
of the answers wrong. It is frightening to see how our society has
evolved.
