Heroes - David Bowie

recently remade by The Wallflowers for the movie Godzilla... it is a poignant song about being an everyday hero even in our seemingly insignificant lives..

no band in this world can ever sing a better version of bohemian rhapsody... Queen is simply the BEST !!!!

the Bear SG

Bridge Over Troubled Waters - Simon and Garfunkel

to me, their voices matched so perfectly, rarely found.. sorta like ABBA.. the ethereal voice of Art Garfunkel..

i would.. that i be such a bridge for someone, one day Embarassed

which was also featured in one of my all-time favourite movies, The Graduate Wink

when smokey sings, you just have to stop and listen.. even if it's such a sad song Very Happy

the Bear SG

The Message - Grandmaster Flash and The Furious Five

the first of the rap... older than "old school".. what Grandmaster Melle Mel and his gang did, started the Rap movement... and it was listenable then... and not filled with "gangsta" wannabes now...

the Bear SG

When Doves Cry - Prince and the Revolution

from Purple Rain.. a semi-autobiographical movie...

and what a soundtrack from the purple dude Wink

the Bear SG

Anarchy In The UK - The Sex Pistols

i LOVE this band.. they could not play, they did stuff which was outrageous, they were obnoxious...

yet, they had the most influential songs in the punk movement! Laughing

the Bear SG

When A Man Loves A Woman - Percy Sledge

his girl just left him and he is totally broke.. so he goes into the studio and sings his heart and his guts out in a stunner of a song...

does this happen these days? i wonder...

the Bear SG

Louie Louie - The Kingsmen

this song actually ignited a full-scale investigation by the FBI!!

the singer decided to sing it like he was totally drunk and slur all his words.. and people started to hear words that are not there.. and there were charges of indecency thrown at the singer...

of course, in the end, all went to heck and this song became legendary Laughing

carpe diem jur SG

twins version of lao shu ai da mi…

the Bear SG

Long Tall Sally - Little Richard
