:: What Songs Are U Listening Now ::

the Bear SG

Dandelion - Audioslave

a surprisingly happy song... all about dreams and thoughts of summers past... and mostly, so full of hope Very Happy

little dandelion
let your heart keep time
now the clouds are gone
all of your tomorrows shine

the Bear SG

Doesn't Remind Me - Audioslave

i would say this is a song about a heartbreak and things that he does because it doesn't remind him of the past...

i guess the chorus says it all...

the things that i've loved
the things that i've lost
things i've held sacred
that i've dropped
i won't lie no more
you can bet
i don't want to learn
what i need to forget

the Bear SG

Future Love Paradise - Seal

a wonderful look into a utopia where love rules and can overcome everything.. if we only let it Very Happy

but if only you can see them
you will know from their faces
there were kings and queens
followed by princes and princesses
there were future power people
from the loved to the loveless
shining a light coz they wanna exist
there were cries of "WHY?"
followed by cries of "WHY NOT?"
can i
reach out for you if it feels good to me
and the riders will not stop us
coz the only love they find is Paradise
no the riders will not stop us
coz the only love they'll find is Paradise

Very Happy

the Bear SG

Kokomo - Beach Boys

ahh.. i love this song.. reminds me of a vacation.. one day i'll find Mrs Bear and bring her to a place like this.. Very Happy

bodies in the sand
tropical drink melting in your hand
we'll be falling in love
to the rhythm of a steel drum band
down in Kokomo

the Bear SG

(I'm Gonna) Cry Myself Blind - Primal Scream

sad sad song Neutral

nothing lasts forever
so sad to lose your love
i've been crazy since you left me
i'm sorry for what i've done
why did you go?
why did you go?
have you ever had a broken heart?
have you ever lost your mind?
have you ever woke up screaming?
coz you're so lonely you could die
why did you go?
why did you go?
i'm lonely baby
cry cry cry
cry cry cry
i'm gonna cry myself blind

Portrait Of My Love - Matt Monro

i wanted to sing this to someone before.. but never had the chance to... oh well, it's in the past.. and maybe it's fate? i would sing this to Mrs Bear Wink

there will never be
a portrait of my love
for nobody
can paint a dream
you will never see
a portrait of my love
for miracles are never seen
everyone who sees her
soon forgets the Mona Lisa
it would take
i know
a Michaelangelo
and he would need
the glow of dawn
that paints the sky above
to try and paint
a portrait of my love

Mexican Girl - Smokie

a strange encounter with a "lady of the evening" and he fell for her...

her skin was soft
as the velvet skies
as her hair
it shone in the moonlight
and as the music did play
well the night turned to day
i held her tight
then she looked at me
with her dark brown eyes
and she whispered
hasta la vista
i don't know what that means
but it sounded so sweet
so i kissed her

the Bear SG

Big Yellow Taxi - Counting Crows (featuring Vanessa Carlton)

another song about a heartbreak.. and with words of wisdom in a whimsical feel, and a touch of sadness... Joni Mitchell would have been proud..

don't it always seem to go
that you don't know what you've got
'til it's gone
they paved paradise
and put up a parking lot

the Bear SG

C'est La Vie - Robbie Neville

that's life... Wink

a hands-in-pocket view of life Wink

baby's gone, all alone
are you sad because you're on your own?
get that girl, party down
there's so many good ones still around

never say die Wink

the Bear SG

Mad World - Tears for Fears

i actually prefer the version by Gary Jules... he brought a whole new level of sadness into a depressing song..

and i find it kind of funny
i find it kind of sad
the dreams in which i'm dying
are the best i ever had
i find it hard to tell you
coz i find it hard to take
when people run in circles
it's a very very
mad world

the Bear SG

I Want You - Third Eye Blind

i LOVE this song... the longing, lusting, almost desperation of which he wants and needs his lady, is kinda romantic to me Embarassed

an open invitation to the dance
happenstance set the vibe that we're in
no apologies because my urge is genuine
and the mystery of your rhythm is so feminine
here i am and i wanna take a hit of your scent
coz it bit so deep into my soul..
i want you

now how's that for intensity? Embarassed

the Bear SG

Impossible To Fly - Baby Animals

a bluesy, boozy song about running away, maybe from heartache, from life, from everything...

well.. Gabriel, if you're an angel
shine on me, oh yeah
do i have to do a deal
with the devil on my heel, Lord
if heaven wants me
then sell me no deals

Wink

the Bear SG

Just The Way You Are - Billy Joel

now if only ladies listened to this man and understand that most men love their womenfolk as they are Very Happy

don't go changin'
to try and please me
you never let me down before
don't imagine
you're too familiar
and i don't see you anymore
i would not leave you
in times of trouble
we never could have come this far
i took the good times
i'll take the bad times
i'll take you just the way you are

and that's how many menfolk would feel about their womenfolk Very Happy

the Bear SG

Lean On Me - Club Nouveau

an updated version (even if it is about 20 years old) of the classic song by Bill Withers Wink

we are not strong
i'll be your friend
i'll help you carry on
for it won't be long
before i need
someone to lean on

Wink

the Bear SG

I Don't Want A Lover - Texas

a strange name for a band which hails from Scotland but with such a southern rock sound to this song.. this was the song that made this band...

i don't want a lover
i just need a friend
i've had time to discover
now that i know it wasn't love

the Bear SG

Fields of Gold - Sting

this ranks up there with the all-time romantic songs by Sting.. beside When We Dance.. and i adore that song too Very Happy

see the west wind move
like a lover's soul
upon the fields of barley
feel her body rise
when you kiss her mouth
upon the fields of gold
i never made promise lightly
and there have been some that i've broken
but i swear in the days still left
we'll walk the fields of gold

the Bear SG

When We Dance - Sting

i WILL sing this to Mrs Bear Embarassed

if he loved you
like i love you
i would walk away in shame
i'd move town and change my name
when he watches you
when he comes to buy your soul
on your hand his golden rings
like he owns a bird that sings

when we dance
angels will run and hide their wings

the Bear SG

Separate Lives - Phil Collins and Marilyn Martin

sad sad song from White Nights...

you have no right
to ask me how i feel
you have no right
to speak to me so kind
i can go out
just holding on to ties
now that we're living
separate lives

Neutral

makes me want to cry actually...

the Bear SG

Holding Back The Years - Simply Red

melancholy song about regrets.. Blue Eye Soul in Mick Hucknall

holding back the years
thinking of the fear i've had for so long
when somebody hears
listen to the fear that's gone
strangled by the wishes of pater
hoping for the arms of mater
get to me sooner or later
nothing ever could

Neutral

the Bear SG

Angel - Sarah McLachlan

sometimes we all need angels, and God sends angels to us, in everyday people... we may not even know it Wink

in the arms of the angel
far away from here
from this dark cold hotel room
and the endlessness that you feel
you are pulled from the wreckage
of your silent reverie
in the arms of the angel
may you find
some comfort here

Wink
