this happens all the time, especially in HK. In crowded places,
especially during lunch time, I can understand.
If the people already bought their food and are waiting with
their food in their hands, I will try to finish mine and let them
have my seat.
If they are just waiting, then chop the seat with tissues or
umbrella, then I will just let them wait loh. If I don't like their
faces, especially some women who continue to yalk standing next to
me, I will stand up, buy a drink, then later buy a watermelon,
....
