Why are we paying more for poor bus services?
I recently boarded a bus going for a meeting. I press the bell
to stop but the bus driver did not stop even on the next 2 stops.
It was raining heavily and I had no umbrella and had to walk back 2
stops away from my destination.
I called to give feedback to the SBS Transit hotline but the guy
who took my complaint did not revert. I had to call several times
to ask for compensation. With the irresponsible bus driver and the
poor service lapse of the customer service, the VP wanted to give
me $50 as compensation. I asked for $100 because I was drenched in
the rain and the embarrassment I faced meeting the people with full
clothes wet.
Shouldn't SBS Transit compensate more? $50 for distress and
inconvenience caused? What does the rest of you think? I
would suggest that if the bus drivers are not doing their jobs, we
should be compensated. Afterall we are the ones who pay more for
poor services. Would you pay 10% service charge if the
service is lousy?
