most of us learnt our english from PETS coursebook and workbooks
(the one where you had to tear out the pages after every exercise,
and leave untidy chunks of paper in the booklet).
as we look back in the primary school days we still argue which
animal stands for which year, the squirrel for first, mouse for
second, and so on.
let's pay tribute to the curriculum that has taught one
generation of singaporeans english.
