gd4u SG Fish N Co, confirm 100% plus chop ... halal ... Wah lau, the TBC list, longer than the confirm list ....
fudgester SG Actually, it isn't. You can see that Fish and Co is nowhere on this list: http://www.muis.gov.sg/eServices/HalalEstbList/HalalCertEstb.aspx They don't have the halal cert because they serve alcohol. I can go with you guys only because I will refrain from consuming the alcohol - and as it is, I'm already stretching the rules quite a bit here. I don't want to sound harsh on you... but before you anyhow claim that an establishment is halal, you might want to check properly that it really is.
gd4u SG HMmm, sorry lor, cos i rmb my muslim frends suggested to eat at FNC mah … then one of them is very religious one … so i tot … hmm, sorry ..
fudgester SG Like I said, it's technically ok for Muslims to eat there only because it's all seafood. However, they do not have the halal cert precisely because they serve alcohol. So it's not quite right to say that the place is halal.
hisoka SG so its okz for you and snicker lah? i mean the food is halai even if the place isn't certified?
fudgester SG Technically I would say that the food is halal... but just that it's not right to say that the place is 100% confirmed halal.
sinicker SG fudgester! fyi, some of the food in the menu are not halal. have to search the archives of a friend's blog to see the few items that are not halal.
fudgester SG Roger that. In any case, now there's a chance I may not be able to make it for the outing after all. My cousin's birthday party is on that day. Totally forgot about it.
