I read somewhere Singapore wants to participate in future Winter Olympics. Looks like they may need to start recruiting foreign talent in winter sports now.

Yah, we watched the halfpipe. Tense! Our tv is tuned into the Olympics almost 24/7. My DVR is working overtime, recording all my regular shows. Good thing we switched to AT&T Uverse. It lets us dvr 4 programmes at once, unlike with Cox which we had. Cox only allowed two per time slot. Heng ah!

hahaha....*high 5s*....same here......it used to be news 24/7, now it's the olympics 24/7. ;-) i have time shifting but no dvr. i guess u not gaming at fb le hor?

CANADA had better win ice hockey!!!! pleasepleasepleasepleaseee!!!!!

 ........we had an OT shoot-out win over Sui last nite....almost got heart attack watching that game. that is NOT a good win as the US has all straight wins giving them 3 pts each. so, we may end up not in good seeding. :(

anyways, watch out next week. that's where our strength lies. i have a feeling we will grab gold in both men and women curling. :P also, the short track relay. we are in the finals. i'll keep u posted. ;-)

udontknowme SG

wow. this sucks. what is going on with the Canadians??! =( ice hockey is OUR game!!! >=(

i'm also pretty darn sure Canada will get medals for curling. cos which other countries will put in so much effort/have so many people playing such a pointless game =p heehee. you know there's a curling club like...a 3 minutes walk away from my school. and quite a lot of people go there!

littlestream SG

NO DARN BLARDY GOOD lah.....under 5 minutes to go in the 3rd and we ARE 2 down against the US!!!! WTH WTH WTH~~~~ arghhhhhh

udontknowme SG

we lost

today is a sad sad day.

not only did we lose to the US. we lost in ice hockey. in canada.

but at least i know the canadian women will do us proud. hurhur.

littlestream SG

yeah.....sorry to be a bearer of bad/sad news, udonie~~~ *sobs sobs*

not only we lost ice hockey.....we LOST women's CURLING last nite!!!! and against who? CHINA!!!!! well, they were 2009 worlds champ anyways. it's not a great loss 'cos our stats sits at 5-1 but... but....but..... *haiz* and the men's long track??? we were 1, 2 and then the Koreans took over, we ended up 4,5!!!!! haiz haiz....

littlestream SG

oh, forgot to add....GOOD NEWS..... our dance pair? they are sitting at the top after the OD last nite. very good chance they will clinch gold and it will be the FIRST dance gold from NORTH AMERICA!!!!

GO CANADA~~~~

Gedanken SG

I'm just waiting for the next Steven Bradbury.

udontknowme SG

wow. we lost CURLING...??? to CHINA???? i dont know if this is tragic or funny...

oh well. this olympics is really not-good for the canadians. tsk. i dont even think there's a chance of us being in the top 3...hor?

the women's ice hockey had better not disappoint...!

littlestream SG

i was going to write "joke of the day" but China is the current worlds champ so we can't write them off.

you know what it is? the pressure. i tink the cheers/supports from the stands can be overwhelming. but ice hockey is diff. we are used to the noise. but being *ahem* Canadians? they are too kind. they didn't rough up the opponents. ;-) i just have to keep fingers and toes crossed and play the Canadian olympics theme song "I Believe". :)

udontknowme SG

but still. why has china stooped so low and decided they want to be good in curling...! kidding =p Better China than US ;)

If we now suck at ice hockey, and curling now belongs to the Chinese. Then what can Canada claim as theirs??!!!! dancing aboriginals? haha. oh dear...

I hear the US goalie was fantastic and saved a million shots in the game though...

and, listen to this version of the song! love this girl's voice. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0th5QE1nQtk&feature=PlayList&p=F98074A07C824F22&index=9
