Flash freeze, then vacumn seal.
But must be conveyed to person in refrigerated container.
I've seen the technology. Not viable unless the
receipient is willing to pay the high cost.
even if possible to pack in a way easy for transport...can
we actually bring char kway teow through the customs or via mail?
the last time i tried to bring in some mooncakes into the
states...the custom people were really scrutinizing the cakes for
any traces of egg.
i've ever brought a big box of matsusaka beef frozen/vacuum
sealed with me on my flight from japan to singapore. the beef
slices were still frozen solid when i got home.
just a side note...anyone in the states has bought stuffs from
http://www.efooddepot.com/ before? they've got
some nice asian spices at quite reasonable prices. anyone can
recommend any other sites where i can get nice asian ready spices
at cheaper prices?
