Dude, average pay is a demand and supply thang.

US schools are not churning out enough math and science based majors.So if yer are a maths genius, ya know what to do.

As for econs and finance.. havn't ya heard ? It's a FINANCIAL CRISIS.. right now ? Go figure ya ?

But then again... ye wouldn't know what's the market gonna be like in a few years time.

Who knows, ye might just be our future econs and financial king pin when yer time come.. First ye gotta graduate like Einstein.. or did he ?

U have to understand the pay raise in the US this year is 8%.........

yes unemployment is high especially for those industry that needs to go to china......

One of my ex boss he was a CFO in a exchange first came black monday, than came 911. now global financial crisi....

His portfolio already burned up......he is more inclined to Buddhist teaching now.

Traditional degree means almost everyone is doing it lah.

If ya such a econs genius. Tell me ah.. what happens when there's too many grads having the same degree and competing for the same job ?

Ya know.. this ain't tiny Singapore, this US land is populated with 300 MILLION people.

If ya can't see the maths ere.. ya better consider doing something else , OK ? Good.

I donch think SG is same here in terms of grads requirements leh.

I've known some engineers doing HR jobs.. and marketing doing logistics werks...e tc etc...

Ya know. in Singapore they don't really care which discipline ya got.. As long as it's a degree of some sort.. enough already leh.

But here ah.. they ain't so lax lah.

i guess this is a question that always need to revisit....

Do you pursue a major that you have passion....or do you pick a concerntration that your parent tell you to.....or you pick a major that will get you a job?

When i was working in SG. Had a lady that took all level of ACCA....than she gave up being an accountant because she is tired.
