Last full day in Kyoto, and just three more days before we leave
Japan. Starting to feel somewhat depressed at that thought
already.
Did something rather impulsive today: rode the Shinkansen all
the way to Hakata in Kyushu and back. Got to Hakata, walked to the
Canal City Hakata shopping mall and wandered around there for 30
minutes, then headed back to the station for the return trip to
Kyoto. All in all, spent nearly 8 hours riding the Shinkansen
today. I think I have that out of my system for now.
Sorry for the lack of images--I just haven't had the time to
upload them.
Edited to add: Okay, I lied. Had time to upload a few
images of the trip to Hakata.
