so with regards to the point of living costs in Singapore ....
you're saying that it's still the goverment's fault ? ....
in anycase, your logic is faulty for 2), if the Singapore dollar
is undervalued, then there is pressure on the SGD to appreciate
against other currencies, in this example the USD, so apple'd get
back more in USD terms if they convert from SGD to USD and count
profits in terms of USD back home.
but yeah, I get it, everything is the goverment's fault, right ?
...
2) Ermmmm....obviously you don't understand the meaning of "dirty
float" and managed foreign exchange intervention.
If it's freely floating, then there is
pressure that the currency will appreciate, not when it's a "dirty
float".
Who sets the monetary policy? Me or You?
I guess to you it's nobody's fault that our currency is
undervalued against major currencies.
Maybe it's a force majeure aka an act of god that our currency
is undervalued?
Maybe it's an act of god that GST is 7%?
Maybe it's an act of god that ERP is the way it is?
I might be right, afterall they are known as the holy trinity
(the father, the son and the holy goh).
