I recommend old navy or the gap or banana republic ....nice, cheap
and good .... 
if you want to splurge, or if you'll be there for some time, get
yourself a good jacket by north face or salomon or arcteryx etc ...
expect to pay around $400 to $800 for one of those, but it'll last
you a life time ....
(*note: about those puffa-style jackets, unless you're takuya
kimura or someone who can pull it off, avoid those ... not only
will you look like a big wrapped dumpling, those are also NOT
breathable ... )
