I'm going to try to get skiddy into fly fishing ... he sent me a
pair of grey grouse wings for fly-tying last year as a gift ...
and yes, we can keep the fish we catch, within bag limits of
course, but there are specific bag limit restrictions and tackle
restrictions at specific waters ... some lakes are barbless, at
some lakes certain species cannot exceed or be below a certain size
.... and I think it's a great idea, a healthy fish population means
good recreation for everyone ....
today's field report:
went out fishing again today with my cadre of diehard fishos ....
the target was pike and white fish on fly .... the wind was pretty
strong at the lake feeder creek we went to, so we turned to
spinning lures after a while, I caught two small three pound pike
on a jig, and lost another one that bent the hook out ... other
friends weren't that lucky, they got a whitefish between the three
of them .... pics to follow ...
