are all these animals found in the same city or place?
btw... which part of aust u visited?

MooKu SG

The wombats look so cute and cuddly. Razz

All these photos were taken in Victoria. I think Kangaroos/wallabies can be found in most parts of Australia, so are Koala bears and wombats.

Tasmania devil is mostly found in Tasmania and some parts of Victoria (I think).

Not too sure about pelicans and ibis though. Wink

Tasmania devil looks so different frm the one in looney tunes..

Surprised

I want a pet wombat !!! ... Surprised

Neutral .........

honeymouse SG

I only had photos of Emu, cassawary, some kind of dragon (not frilled lizards) and some kind of spider (not quite sure what funnel web spider looks like since I am not that keen of spiders) which were taken in Tropical North Queensland..... As for platypi, unfortunately it's hard to have a good shot of them as the environment they are living in is usually very dark.

See the next post for the photos.... Wink

Don't think so. Wallabies is another specie. Small kangaroos are called joeys.

I like the pelican photo.... nice compo.

Tree Kangaroo:

Emu:

Spider:

Rock Wallabies:

Cassowary (They are very aggressive. Look at their claws - they are deadly as they are used to attack when under threat. If you're lucky to spot one in the wild, stay away from them!!!):

"Dragon":

I love wombats and the Tas devil

But I think Pelicans are disgusting and scary birds that eat anything and aggressive enough to steal your food Mad

Fatum SG

I hooked a pelican one time while fishing ....

the stoopid bird thought the lure I just casted was a small fish ... and I thought I hooked a biggie before the pelican tried to fly away and my line arced sky-wards ... Laughing

elindra SG

Pelicans steal take away food like red rooster too Evil or Very Mad
The greedy bird can swallow all the chicken pieces

And the last time, my friend saw a pelican try to eat a chihuahua
This lady was out walking the chihuahua and the pelican swooped down and tried to eat the dog.

Naturally the lady screamed her head off and my friend and his friends ran forward and grabbed on the lease and pulled. Bird let go and you get a very shocked dog. It was ok but in shock

honeymouse SG

Seems like pelican is just as bad as emu. Emu is like that too..... can be annoying when you are having a picnic in a park with emus around... they just invite themselves to the picnic table and help themselves with the food. Mad

elindra SG

I never tried eating with Emu's around Laughing
Actually them swans at Swan Lake (Perth) are nasty too
My friend lost her sandwiches to one coz it was chasing her around for the sandwiches

honeymouse SG

These birds are getting too used to being around human and they will try any possible ways to get food from you so that they don't need to go hunt for them. Slacker!! I hate sea gulls.... it's everywhere here!!! Mad
