but at least this is ok. my dad once had to spend 10+ minutes going through pressing this number and that number. and at the end of it...he still ended up talking to a machine!!!!!!!

ooohhhh.......thanks udon.......for making me laugh!!! i was upset 'cos i kena call this toopid tech support TWICE and kena walked through the same routine all over!!!! arghhhh....i hate it, i hate it!!!!!

anyways, just needed to whine. cool down a bit liao cos the issue sort of got resolved. well, hopefully!!!

but u know? rogers right? they use voice activated system. just like our bank's telephone directory. at least rogers' can recognize my s'pore accent. our bank's toopid directory? the computer can't understand my engrish!!! Embarassed

yea...somehow...when its not a human you talk to...u usually have to do it a few times before u can get things done...
once my dad got really mad and started telling the person what a lousy system they had when the poor person answered...
but...rogers cant recognize my mom's accent! and she has to repeat 'check balance' sooo many times... Razz and hers is...a dunno what...born-in-hk-raised-in-hk-n-canada-and-spent-10+-years-in-singapore accent Surprised Confused Neutral

but really...my mom hates rogers.
not cos of the phone thing lah...

cos u know...there is this ad where a rogers phone user can talk in the elevator while the other phone user cant.
kns...our phones are all roger phones and i cant hear A THING when im in the elevator!!!! Mad in fact my mom's phone has no reception in half of pluto... Laughing

well, i hardly use my cell phone. in fact, i am on this really cheap plan so i didn't give out my cell number. Embarassed

i have 100 minutes but each month, i only use like under 20 minutes. and with family plan, i have 2500 minutes but also use less than 30 minutes.

i am talking A MONTH leh!!!!

rogers has been trying to get us to change to home phone but we always decline. don't really like their service but then kena stuck 'cos i am on contract. got free phone mah. Embarassed

33 cents a minute. in going and out going calls
so udon cant give out his number to too many pple also...
and anyways, half the time i turn off my phone... Embarassed

and we cant get family plan cos thats for THREE years...

now i am wondering why i am paying C$5 each month for caller ID. i shd terminate that service. Mr. Green

this is why i like japan. except for the post office, every customer service that i called lead straight to a living and breathing operator. the post office one is excusable since the line is particularly for redelivery of items, need to key to in numericals. in this sense, humans are more likely to make mistakes.

and then recently i had to call DBS because they decided to put in a new authenticaiton method and not notify me, then locked my account. so i was forced to call them long distance, and then put on hold for 5 bloody minutes. wtf. and the auntie on the other end didn't even sound singaporean. sounds indian. couldn't handle much singlish.
