Meia Gisborn SG Nope, no BBQs at my place. But if someone else invites me, I'll be happy to supply the soda! No big plans here either. This is the last weekend of the state fair, but I think I'll pass on that. If it doesn't rain tomorrow, I'll probably head to the range in the morning for a little target practice. Might work on the cars too. I've neglected to do a coolant change on them for over a year, so this weekend might be the right time to rectify that! Labor Day is traditionally regarded as the unofficial end of the summer. Not exactly looking forward to winter, given current natural gas prices....

I'm packing this Labor Day, because I'm heading to Chi-town to see my brother and his family. It's going to kick wazoo! Enjoy your Labor Day weekend...maybe I'll pack in a BBQ too, who knows. It's a great time to relax and catch up on sleep and R&R.

Plans to paint the entire interior on our own have been passed onto painters. The area's so hot, paint actually curdles!! Learnt that the hard way. We're taking a break from home improvement this weekend. But come Monday, we'll be back at it. We managed to get the dishwasher hooked up after 3 days of battling with hoses, etc. I'm in the midst of priming and painting cabinet doors and loving every minute of it.
Meia Gisborn SG Ah! Mrs. Craftsman is definitely in her element! Make sure you take long, deep breaths in those enclosed areas with wet paint. By the way, the painters you hired wouldn't by any chance be, um, illegals, would they? Have you maxed out your credit card yet buying stuff from the various home improvement superstores?
jetta SG MG oh MG. *sigh* We've decided to paint the interior ourselves. Partly because I want to save money, partly because my credit card's smoking from abuse, partly because bloody Home Depot has a 25% Behr paint special, partly because the money saved could go into other areas. Alamak, I practically live at Home Depot and Lowe's now. But guess what? We made friends with the guys from the plumbing and mill works dept and they've given us 10% off coupons with promises of more coupons to come. Joy! Joy!
