How many zeros are there in 1 billion dollars and how many zeros
are there in 1 trillion dollars?
And is trillion the highest figure? Any other larger figure than
trillion?
1 Billion = 1,000,000,000 (US)
= 1,000,000,000,000 (UK)
However, the usage of UK definition of billion is losing ground
ie even in news in bloomberg 13 billion pounds are stated to be
equal to 21.4 billion dollars.
1 Trillion = 1,000,000,000,000 (US)
Zillion IS NOT A UNIT ie zillion is used in everyday language as
an infinite or very, very large number or amount.
So, in mathematics, zillion is not associated with a given
number of zeros. Indeed, zillion is not even a term used in
mathematics.
