Yup, the reason they gave for wanting to know the information
was that they wanted to check with their database whether any shops
are distributing illegal versions or not.. 
Perhaps those that gave are really the ones that have the genuine
ones. I bet that there are many 'others' who don't dare give a name
or are unable to give any..
