^tamago^ SG can read this if u wan. not sure if it's right. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Integration_by_parts
papercut87 SG hey tamago!!! long time no see. oh n thanks for ur help. yup i tried integrating by parts.. so we have x(4-x²)^-1/2 right? tried diff x and integrating (4-x)^-1/2.. after integrating (4-x)^-1/2 we get some inverse sin function.. den how do u integrate the inverse sin function again!? *pullhair. haha. i also tried to integrate x and diff (4-x)^-1/2.. notice that the power of x will keep increasing when we integrate it so its clear it cant be done by parts. suggestions?
Chelzea SG no nid by parts beri simple de..jus increase power and bring e half outside e eqn be4 integrating
papercut87 SG ahhh yes now i remember. so smart die. in uni liao but getting help fr a JC student. thanks chelzea!! (mm.. humble pie.. yum yum.)
^tamago^ SG haha. i return this part to my maths teacher liao. i tried diff x and intergrate (4-x)^-1/2 too, but im stuck. this question looks very familiar leh, like always come out one....
^tamago^ SG no lah. earliest next year, which means i sign up next march, but by right shld start practising now. die liao. chelzea pwned me. i was stuck trying to integrate 4-x²^-½.... i got (1/3x)(4-x²)^(-3/2)... outing ah... tml wan? while sinicker is out, i presume.
papercut87 SG here the solution: damn gek right? after trying so many methods and the ans is that simple. feel like slapping myself... tmr i got smth on leh.. paiseh~
^tamago^ SG yeah, too fast liao. tml im gg for ikea breakfast. i gg to nap first....... maybe at night we can all msn together....
