a lot of people are unaware of how expensive it is to keep your
tooth if you want to save it from extraction. If the decay has
already reached your nerves at the bottom of your tooth, you have 2
choices, less expensive : extraction, and there goes your teeth
forever. Loosing a teeth means that the remaining set of tooth will
soon become loosen due to the gap and so keeping the tooth clean
requires more work.
The other option : save it by doing root canal and follow by
crowning. Root canal requires 3 to 4 visits to the dentist to
remove all the nerves and then cement it with hardening material
and that means your teeth is now dead and so becomes brittle, so
hard food is out. The only way to save it from cracking up is to do
a crown. A crown is like a false teeth that is hollow so it can cap
on the dead tooth to keep it in tact. The whole process will costs
$600 to $700 dollars.
I speak from my experiences of spending about $3000 to keep my
big molar tooths from extractions so I could eat normally. Don't
wait once there is pain, go to the dentist as soon as possible if
you want to keep your teeth and save your money. If the decay is
still minor, just a simple filling is good enough.
Brushing is not good enough, need to floss to get most of the
bacteria from the sides of the tooth. Twice yearly check up will
save you lost of money later on. Like they say, be true to your
tooth or they will be false to you.
