I've yet to find a detailed explanation for the way our teeth
develops vis a vis the alignment. But I came across a short and
simple one in a magazine.
The milk/primary teeth hold the right spaces for the
secondary/permanent teeth. If a child loses a baby tooth
prematurely, nearby teeth may tip or move into that empty space,
causing crookedness.
Hence, it is extremely important to take care of one's baby
teeth, even though one day they will eventually fall out!
Phew. I had to read so much just to stumble upon a small part that
tells me why my teeth are like that.
