(Continued from "mee goreng" joke, but not necessary for you to
read that)
Last night, an incident took place at Boat Quay. What happened
was some idiot was trying to show off and declared that he would
swim across the Singapore River. He jumped in and started swimming.
But before he could reach the halfway mark, he started to panic and
started to shout for help.
Being typical Singaporeans, a crowd started to gather to watch
and yet no attempt was made by anybody to save that poor chap.
Suddenly there was a splash and the crowd turned to see a guy
doing what seemed like a desperate attempt to reach the drowning
victim. It was clear that this hero couldn't swim !
Luckily a tongkang filled with tourists was passing by and the
operator saw the incident and picked both men from the water. The
crowd cheered !
Back on shore, the crowd cheered again as the hero stepped off
the tongkang. "Steady Lah !" and "Awright, man !" were among the
many congratulations shouted.
The hero looked angry and shouted "Ka ni na! Siang too wa loh
chui?" (*%#@! Who pushed me into the water?")
Ah Hong, the hero who was a food show host from Afghanistan,
then asked what he should have for supper that he had not tried in
Singapore. The idiot who tried to swim across Singapore River then
introduced himself as Ah Ren. "Hav you tried mee siam? Me ant moi
fwens plan to eat mee siam tonight."
So Ah Hong followed them to a hawker centre in choa chu
kang.
"Wait!" cried Ah Ren.
"Whats up?"
"Look at that.." warned Ah Hong.
"Wat is it?" They approached the thing and looked at it very
closely. "Eee.. look like shit lah!" say Ah Ren.
"Hmmm..smell like shit also!" say Ah Hong after taking a
deep breathe.
Ah Ren then poked the thing with his one finger, raised the
finger to his lips, tasted it and said, "Tastes like
shit!"
Ah Hong pushed his finger right through the thing and stick
out his tongue to lick. With confident, he said, "Confirm is
shit!"
Then they smiled at each other, "Wah! lucky we didn't step on

So they arrived and ordered mee siam. Ah Hong declared, "Hmm..
this is much better than that stupid mee goreng I ordered a few
days ago." Ah Ren reply, "Here the mee goreng very power lah! Wan
to try or not?"
Ah Hong saw the mee goreng and immediately started eating. "Wow,
so good. Delicious." One of the guys in the group, Ah Nan, got
bored and decided to tell a joke. "Which mrt station used to be a
teletubbie?" So they think for a while, but couldnt get the right
answer. " Is EX-Po lah." And went on to ask another
riddle, "What do you call a crippled prawn?" Again they think
for a while. Then Ah Hong finished his mee goreng and said "Lame
Sia."
"How you know the answer?" Ah Nan was shocked. "Because Stone
Cold said so." Ah Ren said, "I make sure you end up stone cold!"
And Ah Hong end up in emergency ward of hospital again.
