The Singapore government claims that because of the declining
birth rates, it had to bring in foreigners to fill in the shortage
of manpower.
But Japan also have low birth rate. How come I don't see Japan
importing all sort of foreigners into their country?
The reason why Japan rarely allows foreigners to become citizens
is because they do not want foreigners to "corrupt" their tradition
and culture.
The reason why the SG government bring in foreigners is mainly
because they are cheaper, and they are willing to do odd jobs,
unlike Singaporeans.
