i think its ok for sch to impart moral values..to certain limit

we learn that everyday in our morals ed class or u noe those chinese textbooks also got moral values in them one, always patriotism, filial piety..unless you never pay attn in class

disciplinary master also impart a form of moral values to students..or else i will bash the chap sitting next to me and i can get away with it

If the religious are prepared to compromise for the continual sake of society, to follow the laws of the land, then why do you, an atheist, an equally flawed human, still choose to take on an adverserial religion persecuting uncompromising stance today?

This post is to correct some misconceptions from some person tat the society and gov is uncompromise and ruled gays to be illegal. The officials words from the gov goes as follows

"Singapore is a conservative country and the conventional family, is the norm and building block of our society. However we recognise that homosexual are part of our society"

In short, 377A is NEVER going to be enforced if it is done privately. SO if anyone want to state tat singapore banned gay and we should follow the law, then I say u should read more, follow the stand from the gov and live and let live. Wat they do is their own business and nothing written in your book applies to them if they r not believer.

BUT when you start PROMOTING your lifestyle with the aim for sexual conduct or even marriage, that it is one amongst many choices avaliable for a free society, then you would have incurred the wrath of society and its law.

NO ONE discriminates against homosexuals. They have a right to live and contribute to our society.

It is their LIFESTYLE, and those who PROMOTE such lifestyles, that must be roundly criticised. Keep your gross acts of indecency to yourself, keep away from decent families and innocent young boys, and make sure your doors are locked, otherwise if a call is made to the police while you are engaging in your filth with your degenerate lover, you WILL be penalised, make no mistake about that!

The solution is very simple. They keep to themselves, and u guys keep to yourself. They go to their house they can do watever they want and even if u call the police, they won't do anything. Now the problem is u guys r not keeping to yourself and forcing other people to take your extreme stand. U guys proclaim homosexual is illegal stating they r degenerative and anti humanity and want the whole world to condemn them. Even if some organisation proclaims it is neutral, which is rightly so, u guys will force it down. Who r the ones promoting their belief ?

I think the behavior of witch hunts and religious fundamentalist should be the one roundly criticised and penalised.

unfortunately, there's now alot of pressure for schools to impart moral values to kids which should be taught by their parents.

so now schools bo bian, have to shoulder this responsibility, so they should take that into consideration, instead of just thinking that they are imparting only education, and not morals. at least until a clear line has been drawn for them.

So what kind of religious moral values should be imparted to the kids? Buddhist? Islamic? Christian? Taoist? So what happens when different moral values are imparted to different children? Social disintegration? Religious riots?
