Chery does Copy (chery QQ), but Chery also focuses a lot on
quality. If you read Chery’s history, you will see that they are
really determined to build a quality brand, they hired japanese
engineers, they are one of the 5 car companies in the world to
possess the most advanced painting system, and the most advanced
quality control system. And recently they announce that they invest
billions of dollars in R&D to shed off the low price, low
quality image and build quality cars. For example, the Chery
A6CC is built based on european standards
with 8 airbags and harder steel and aim to achieve at least 4 stars
in euro crash test. And Chery is not doing copying anymore, this
time they hired an italian car designer to design their chery
A6CC and other cars (the designer that design
ferrari). I don’t know about other Chinese carmaker, but Chery is
really a serious carmaker and really is determined to achieve.
