Yo!
I'm intending to bbq at East Coast Park.. I've already booked
the bbq pit there but problem is, when I apply for the tent
pitching permit, there's no "space" at that bbq area...
I was wondering, can I just pitch the tent somewhere near the
bbq pit without a permit?
Or any other solutions? Thanks!
Yes you can.
You just need to pray hard that they are not doing spot checks
on that day and you will be fine.
Oh, and if there are a number of people 'tenting' there, join
them. It is good to be caught together than to be caught alone,
because you could then use the excuse that you didn't know you
needed a permit to camp there as many people are also camping
there.
On legal issues, if you can't book a certain area for tent
pitching, that means you are not allowed to set up a tent
there.
