Ah Fu, a senile old man is told that he had a week to
live.
As the funeral preparations were made, he called his 3 closest
friends- a priest, a doctor and a lawyer to his death bed.
Upon seeing them, he handed them a red packet each - with $10K in
each of them.
Ah Fu: "Friends, what I'm worried now is that I might not have
enough to spend in my afterlife. Therefore, I would like to bring
all this money along with me. However, I do not trust the
Undertakers to place this money in my coffin. will the 3 of u put
this money in my coffin just as I'm about to be cremated?
Although it is obviously a weird request, the 3 friends promised to
do so.
A week later, all 3 friends kept their word and placed the red
packets in the coffin before the old man was cremated.
As they walked to the bus stop, the priest suddenly burst out in
tears. The 2 men were puzzled and questioned his outburst.
Priest: "I must confest, I took some of the money- it would be of
better use to fund a mission to Congo!- there is only $5000 left in
my packet! "
Feeling guilty, the doctor said : "I must confess too that I
donated some money to the NKF..there's only $3000 left in my
packet! "
The Lawyer shook his head and scolded: "Shame on the both of u! U
had broken your promise to your dead friend! Why, I had returned
him the full amount of 10k!"
The 2 friends were awed by his honesty.
Doctor: Really? All 10 thousand dollars in cash? U are such an
honest man!
Lawyer: Dun be silly! It is so unsafe for a man to walk around with
so much cash! I simply wrote him a cheque! "
