The heaviest element known to science was recently discovered by
physicists. Tentatively named Administratium(Ad), it has no protons
or electrons which means it hasn atomic number of 0 and falls
outside the natural patterns exhibited by other elements.
However, it does have 1 neutron, 125 assistants to the neutron, 75
vice neutrons and 111 assistants to the vice neutrons. This gives
it an atomic mass of 312. These 312 particles are held together by
a force involving the continuous exchange of meson-like particles
called 'memos'. because there are no protons and electrons,
Administratium is inert. Nonetheless, it can be detected
chemically, in that it seems to impede every reaction in which it
is present.
According to one of its discoverers, even a small amount of amount
of Administratium makes one reaction which normally lasts less that
a second to take more than 4 days. This new element has a half-life
of abt 3 years. It does not actually undergo decay. Instead it
reorganizes. The assistant neutrons, vice neutrons switch places.
Some studies actually indicate that its mass actually increases
after each reorganization, although this has yet to be
explained.
Another phenomenon which has been observed, as expected from the
mechanics of minute particles, is that the more one tries to pin
down the position of the vice neutrons within the structure, the
more uncertain thos epositions become.
Within a short time of the discovery, labs ard the world confirmed
the existence of the new element. A team from Utah using highly
sophisticated probability detectors, monitored a stream of memos
from a fax mounted device. Dr May B. Yes and her associate Dr May B
No said that the details of the experiment were being kept
confidential, pending further development of the data. But, they
claimed that more memos came out of the device that those that went
in!
