National Bowling League

harmzuay SG

Hey did you read about the National Bowling League that's been set up? Prataman probably knows about it - seeing how CBC are second in the league after the first round, I think.

I think it's a good idea. It's kinda like Singapore bowling's version of the English Premiere League. Cool. Cool

Now we just have to wait until it gets so damned popular that they begin telecasting it live or delayed on television.

yo, harmzuay!
long time no see! glad to see that you are still keeping track of the game.
i have to agree that the national league is a very interesting idea, hope that one day, we will be able to participate in it as well! Smile

Yah! That will be cool man! Its kinda of good exposure as this league takes place all over the island in various alleys like Yishun, pocket, occ, csc, tahna merah….etc. and heard that the league bowlers there do not have any handicap, all are playing 0 handicap irregardless of your scores! Thats gotta be a good challenge!

Hi Jae,

It's been a while. I haven't had the time to go bowling. Let alone look at this forum. Have been trying hard to make ends meet after starting a small company. It's in my signature. Those of you who are lazy can click here to see my website. I have a forum there too, but there's no one in it. So perhaps you guys can be the first.

But once I read the papers about the NBL, I had to see what you people thought. I doubt we'll ever be joining the league... entrance fee per team is like, S$2.4k. And first prize is S$8k. Too small a top prize, in my opinion.

Hi Harmzuay,

Visitied the above link, and i thought it was pretty impressive! Now i know who to look for when i am getting a new PC! Smile

as for the the National League, the entrance fee, (if i am not wrong) is inclusive of all the games money and legue fee, right?
if that is the case, then i thought the returns is pretty good...for the top teams. Guess getting the exposure i what i am looking for, (if there are no more fees than the entrance fee) rather than the prize, which is not-so-possible at my current level... but bowling against the top bowlers, wow, that can only help us gain valuable experience and strengthing our metal game. Smile

Thanks Jae!!

Help me spread the word, ok? Do you have an e-mail address? I can send you my eFlyer so you can help me forward to your friends.

I was thinking about the bit where the national scouts can see you playing without you having to go to the national trials too. But the competition is REALLY strong. I believe that the leaders in the league now is a team comprised almost exclusively of youth national bowlers. And i'm sure there'll be some teams all "lao jiao" bowlers. So it's a good mix. Plus anyone from here will be like underdogs there. So probably no pressure. Cool

I appreciate the offer. RIght now, I can't afford to pay anyone's salary. Haha. What do you do? Maybe I can keep an eye out.

Hey dude, you guys still bowling? Regulars at leagues? Gee... seems like Titan, Chuanish and myself are really losing out, huh?

My equipment is like, dusty... and I see some of these balls you're selling (Bully, Prata???) and I've NO idea who makes them! Out of touch, out of touch...
